Join us as Software Engineer in the Advanced Maintenance Analytics team based in Saint Ouen, France.

 

 

As a part of its predictive maintenance solution, Alstom Services Advanced Maintenance Analytics aims to offer tools and state-of-the start solutions to manage the health of rolling stock and signaling equipment to detect degradation and provide a diagnosis to maintenance teams.

 

 

PURPOSE

You will be a core member of the software and data management team dedicated to developing and apply state-of-the-art advanced maintenance algorithms for railway clients.

Your purpose will be:

  • Contribute to the industrialization and the deployment of our AMA solution
  • Partner with our experts to create a cohesive working environment driven by innovation

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute full software development lifecycle (Agile)
  • Write well-designed, testable code
  • Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
  • Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
  • Document and maintain software functionality
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
  • Comply with project plans and industry standards
  • Ensure software is updated with latest features

 

 

REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Mandatory

Engineering degree in computer science, software engineer or equivalent

 

 

EXPERIENCE

Mandatory:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience with a software vendor, IT service provider or digital player.
  • Proven work experience as a Software Engineer/Developer
  • Ability to develop in Java, Python or other programming languages
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL
  • Experience with test-driven development
  • Proficiency in software engineering tools
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Linux environment.
  • Ability to document requirements and specifications
  • Fluent in English.

Desirable:

  • Additional language (French is a plus).
  • Basic knowledge of Model serving.
  • Experience of Cloud providers like Microsoft Azure or AWS, including security and VPN
  • Experience of Machine Learning in Python.
  • Knowledge of Design Patterns
  • Good knowledge of Micro Services architecture

 

SKILLS

  • Technical person, problem solver with good communication skills
  • Data management life cycle and quality process
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting
  • Database optimization and procedure writing
  • MLOps tool is a plus
  • Data version control
  • Devops and agile development process
